gratitude journal

Decided to keep a little notebook in my bag as my "gratitude journal". Basically, I'll take note of the little things that made me smile or feel happy inside my heart.

1. Nice weather today! Breezy!
2. Had cinnamon melts at McDonald's! Love the sweet taste :)
3. Bus to Mum's office was empty - was only passenger on 325.
4. Jeans didn't slip underneath my shoes while walking. Felt like a little accomplishment.
5. Can't wait for class to start at 6.45PM
6. Started this journal :)
7. New class! Lot's of new faces! ...and also an 'ang moh'. :P
8. Got to sit in the front row ^^v
9. Saw some old classmates the previous class
10. Lesson was fun, enjoyed it!
11. Pepsi from vending machine was dispensed cold and not like the warm orange juice it gave me the other time...
12. Saw another old secondary schoolmate. Think he noticed me lol
13. Two girls sitting across me on the train complimented on my "awesome face" badge. Felt happy inside :D
14. Found a seat on the train during rush-hour.
15. Stroked a cat's fur outside the subway station.
16.Teacher taught something about concentration. Some red to yellow rose imagination thing.
17. Ordered McSpicy with an extra order of cheese.
18. Seido ran out of the house to greet me with happy paws and wagging tail.

spacing out

These days I had been spacing out easily. It's like my mind tend to wander off while I'm alone or doing something. Such as today while in IKEA....I was testing this chair and it was so comfortable, I just sat on it and drifted off for 15 minutes.

It's always to unanswerable or difficult questions that comes to my mind...

"If banks go bankrupt, do the credit-card customers get away with free items since they do not need to pay up?"

"Do the electronics and appliances on display at IKEA have the components within them removed so that they are rendered useless?"

(while sitting in a bus behind an old lady with a french braid) I told my pal sitting beside me. "What if there was a zip at the end of the braid and if you unzip the braid, someone might just climb out from within! ...or maybe it leads to another dimension?"

"Pigeons are made by the government to track our consumerism habits...that's why you don't see baby pigeons."

and many more...

yay spacing out!

gamer

Been downloading games and playing like hardcore these few days. Thanks to science, I've managed to experience gaming with ultra quality of graphics! Bought Prototype off Steam (it's a really awesome game), downloaded Tomb Raider: Underworld, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Burnout Paradise, Lord of the Rings Online, and finally reinstalled and resubscribed back to World of Warcraft. LOL!

All hail specular lighting and the power of DirectX 10 3D rendering! Prototype was a pain in the ass to play but I completed the whole game by staying up for 1 and a half day, battling that freakin Elizabeth Greene and saving Manhattan from blowing up into smithereens on board a warship. Ugh. But the best thing was consuming an old woman, becoming an old woman, then hurling cars and killing people in New York....as an old woman. Hilarious!

The Tomb Raider games on the other hand were requested by my buddy. Super fun to play! Indeed one of the top-selling games on this planet. We spent almost hours trying to solve those stupid puzzles and mazes.

LoTRO on the other hand wasn't that bad. Gameplay was fun, graphics was superb. It was kinda like WoW but the UI on the other hand wasn't that user-friendly. Loved the neat combo system though. :D

Some screenies before I sign off:

Gaming is the best hobby of the 21st century! xD Oh and to that prick, stop being so anal with life and judgemental about almost everything you get your hands/eyes on.

online shopping

Heyall. Long time since my last blog post heh, been dragging like a few months. Anyways life been quite upbeat lately in fact! Lots of laughter, randomness with my friends and excitement! All these are in fact the good stuff in life that keeps me chugging~ Chooo!

Been playing lots of Team Fortress 2 with my bestie lately and using Pyro is so freakin fun. Those elusive spies and their Ambassadors.... ugh. Ever since the Sniper and Spy update, those two classes are much more fun to play. Oh, not to mention I unlocked one of the rare hats in the game for the spy; the Fancy Fedora hat. Lol!

Other than TF2, I downloaded the leaked version of The Sims 3 before it's release date via torrent! For the first time, I downloaded a sim game for free and through a torrent download. Normally, I would head off to stores on the release date itself and grab the retail copy for myself. But thankfully this time, I didn't buy TS3....because in my own opinion, it kinda sucked. The moodlets, traits, inventory and job system was a really good addition to admit! Graphics wise were of 2009 quality; the shadows, textures, lighting and etc. Sigh, whenever EA takes over a majority of a game's development, it usually ends up like crap (take an example of Simcity Societies). What they should've done was to port over the gameplay from The Sims 2 and add in the new features from The Sims 3. I'll see how the game progresses and then perhaps I may get the game if it improves.

Speaking of which, I can't wait for the release of Cities XL, the first online city simulator MMORPG! It's like Simcity but online! You can even play as a citizen and visit other players' cities, trade resources, diplomatic contracts and settle it just like IRL politics. Fun! Time to upgrade my rig for all the awesome games coming this 3rd quarter of 2009!

Some screenshots I taken in game while playing The Sims 3. Not bad eh? Oh oh, and I uploaded some of the electronica songs I extracted from the game itself! Wicked mixes!
Listen to them here!

Ever since my Mum applied for the plastic card, I've been spending more on online shopping (eBay mostly), game subscriptions and what not. Friends had been asking me to help them buy stuffs online for them such as one of my besties who got this awesome black turtleneck hoodie and 3/4 pants. Awesome stuff! I got myself a white turtleneck with a red inside collar, some Yotsubato! doujinshis. One of my other friends rely on me to get his cosplay wigs and exotic glasses....LOL! Should I start charging commission for all the purchases now? *smirks* Nah! =P

Two of the Yotsubato! doujinshis I bought from eBay, Yanda x Koiwai! Cute!

Online shopping's super fun! Well except for the waiting of the shipment's arrival part... Especially since my bestie dragged me into the Korean mens' fashion and the related online stores...jeez!

Finally, one of my friends, Berlinda is finally paying a visit to the crafting studio I've been attending for my amigurumi lessons tomorrow! Lots of my girlfriends are super-interested in the class and are considering to join LOL. Mmm how effective those cute stuffs influence girls, heh! My first amigurumi turned out a little "distorted" as my stitches are SUPER tight! My teacher even commented that while stitching the craft, my needle actually makes screeching noises! LOL! But my goal in the end is to stitch up a medic plushie from TF2! Heh fun!

Ahhhh sometimes, life's so fun it makes me exhausted! :P OH OH! EOY BACKPACKING TRIP TO BANGKOK TOO! Hahahah! Can't freakin wait!

Well I shall write until here then, will post again soon~!

machinima

At long last! A blog update! Been so busy with my examinations for the past 3 months. Anyways, it's finally over and I could game without worries...though it's just a short break. Hahah! Oh, and this is a machinima I made for The Sims 2. (Warning! Disturbing scenes.)
